Sectors

Fishing began in sector D1 with the opening of the Cascapedia Society in 1982. Loon Lake and Minor Brook are situated at the top of this sector. The main holding pool for D1 is Alder Island (94).  Several large salmon are caught there every year.

Alder Island pool is available in the morning on even days and the afternoon on odd days. Other favorable pools to be discovered are Scow Bogan, Lynn’s Brook, and Minor. Within this sector, fishing from a canoe is only available at a high water level.
